Gaston

Gaston is one of several small towns that for most people is simply lost on the Willamette valley floor. For me the main attraction in the area is Henry Hagg lake. It draws boats and fishermen to the area although there is really no place to spend money there. I occasionally buys dahlia tubers from Alpen Gardens located there also. The town has a rather colorful history of railroads arriving and departing with resulting booms and busts. There is a good history of the Gaston area on the Gaston public schools web page.
