Banks is just south of Hiway 26 where the Nehalem Highway crosses in case you want to continue on to Vernonia. Like several small towns in the Willamette valley, Banks claims to be nestled in wine country. That's a valid claim as one sees grapes growing all over the valley now. They also have a dirt track speedway there. That is a little nostalgic for me. My dad and I used to frequent the one at Roseburg many years ago. There is no racing like dirt track racing!
