Timber
Washington County, 97144
Timber is in the foothill of the Coast Range of mountains just off Highway 26 at the west edge of the Willamette Valley. It has a little used rail road track through town that in better days for logging was probably busy. The general store is long closed but they still have a post office and a volunteer fire department. Timber is on the Nehalem River so perhaps it should be grouped with the Lower Columbia, or the North Coast. It is however in Washington county and that is why I grouped it in the North Willamette Valley.
