Hood River
Hood River County, 97031
Hood River is a little big for the web site, but I fish there a lot and like the place so here it is. The namesake river runs directly off Mt. Hood and has the murky gray green color of glacial water most of the year. It enters the Columbia just downstream of the bridge to White Salmon, Washington. The delta it creates is a mecca for sail boarder and kiters. The whole river area is great bass fishing and at the right time of year salmon fishing. Hood River is famous for its apples and its vodka.
