Gateway to Crater Lake National Park
Shady Cove is on the Rogue River between Gold Hill and Lost Creek Lake on the Crater Lake hiway. Recreational opportunites abound here. Crater Lake is only 45 minutes away and the Rogue river offers fishing, rafting and kayaking. Lost Creek lake is nearby and has a variety of fish including bass. I have spent more than one day there trying to catch a five fish limit of bass without success. As kids we traveled the Tiller-Trail highway to go duck hunting in Klamath Falls. Dad only stopped for gas so we never got closer than Trail to Shady Cove.
