Pearl of Tillamook Bay
Bay City is named for the Tillamook bay it overlooks. The bay is a fabulous marine estuary. The Chinook salmon run is world famous. The huge fish come in to spawn in one of the five rivers that feed the bay, but they have to get past the fishermen. The five rivers of the bay are the Tillamook, the Kilchis, the Wilson, the Trask, and the Miami. There is also a large crab and oyster industry in this area.
