Siletz

The town of Siletz is located next to the Siletz Indian Reservation where they host the annual Nesika Illahee Pow Wow in August. The road from Newport via Toledo north through Siletz and on to Kernville and thence Lincoln City is one of the longest, crookedest roads I have ever traveled. It is a beautiful trip but do not be in a hurry. The Siletz River has more switchbacks and oxbows than you can imagine and the road more or less follows the river.
