Neskowin

Neskowin stretches between the Pacific ocean and Highway 101 north from Cascade Head for about four miles. It is an old beach community with a lot of newer additions including the central market and of course condos. Neskowin has always been a bit of a secret being on the demarcation line between the North coast and the Central coast. It is less convenient from Portland then several towns to the north and less convenient for Salem than Lincoln City. Neskowin grows superb shore pines, has a great beach and a small estuary where the Neskowin river meets the ocean. Proposal rock is the most prominent landmark, but I do not know any stories about it. You will have to make up your own.
